Poetry/Poesia
Svaniti i ricordi, restano le emozioni
Once memories have gone, feelings remain
‘Svaniti
vita propria’.
meno indelebile) e poi ‘testo’.

Estratti
Semplicemente pensando...
dovrebbe
bastare
a
fermare il rumore
che
fanno i ricordi
l’uno
contro l’altro
urtandosi
come
macchine in un autoscontro
sfiorandosi
come
carezze
allontanandosi
come
aquiloni senza corda
lasciarsi scivolare nel
sonno
dovrebbe
chiudere quello sportello
come
dovrebbe
regalarci una nuova memoria
ripulita
e pronta a raccogliere solo cristalli
senza sabbia.
Just thinking...
Making the silence speak
Making the silence speak
should be enough
to stop the noise
memories make
one against the other
clashing
like dodgems cars
brushing
like gentle strokes
drifting away
like cordless kites
letting
ourselves go to sleep
should shut that door close
same as we do when jumping into a taxi drenched with
rain
the
light of dawn sweeping away the night
should gift us with a clean memory
free and ready to collect only crystals
and
no sand.
Gli invisibili
Puoi sentirne l’odore
nel vagone del metro
passerebbero inosservati
altrimenti.
Sarò uno di loro
presto…
un giorno… ?
Mi chiedo.
Sarò uno dei fantasmi ?
Le lacrime soltanto a ripulirmi
la faccia e la freschezza
dell’alba a farmi
sentire viva, ancora…
Lontana sarò e tuttavia
ancora tra la gente
che conosco così bene da tempo.
Battendo pesante i piedi lungo i fili
del mio destino.
Potrò mai cambiarlo, mi è
concesso ?
Mi chiedo se…
Se solo conoscessi le direzioni
verso cui sto fluendo
dentro cui sto cadendo.
Le notti ed i giorni si mescolano
la luce brillante ed i pensieri
fiochi…
scuoterli e riportarli indietro
ad essere ‘qualcosa’,
qualunque cosa, loro stessi,
‘di nuovo’…
scalciando i bidoni dei
rifiuti, sentendosi senza speranza, sconfitti.
Sono ancora qui ?
mi chiedo
Sono ancora viva ?
ne dubito
Tornerò mai indietro ?
The invisible ones
You
can smell them
in
the tube’s train
they
would go unnoticed
otherwise.
Will I be one of them
soon…
some
day…
I
wonder.
Will I be one of the ghosts
The
tears only to clean
my
face and the freshness
of
the dawn to make
me
feel alive, still…
Far away I’ll be and yet
still
among the people
I’ve
known so well for so long.
Stomping along the threads
of
my destiny.
Can
I ever change it, am I allowed
Wonder
if…
If only I knew the directions
I am
flowing towards
I’m
falling in.
Nights and days mingle
the
bright light and the dim thoughts…
And
I am here, still
wondering
‘if’.
Then I bump into another one
of them, the invisible ones,
the
city’s bitter ghosts…
They
walk leaning against their mute desperation…
not
even sorrows can shake them back
into
being ’something’,
anything,
themselves ‘again’…
kicking
the trash bins and feeling hopeless, defeated.
Am I still here
I
wonder
Am I
still alive
I
doubt it
Will
I ever be back
Evening prayer
Mi chiedo se morirò felice
ringraziando
Dio
per
le sofferenze che mi ha dato
per
una vita intensa
vissuta
al di dentro, lancinante
sino a triturarmi l’anima
sino a triturarmi l’anima
mi
chiedo se conoscerò mai quell’amore
che ho sempre fuggito
che ho sempre fuggito
che
quando ho incontrato
prima non ho saputo confessare
e poi mi ha abbandonato ferita.
prima non ho saputo confessare
e poi mi ha abbandonato ferita.
Mi merito tutto
ogni
dolore, ogni lacrima,
la mancanza di gioia
la mancanza di gioia
mi
merito tutto
ogni
dall’indomani
mi
merito ogni paura, ogni incubo
perché avevo avuto tutto in
dono e tutto ho sprecato
I
wonder whether I’ll die happy
thanking my Lord
for the sufferance he gifted me with
for the intensity of a life lived within,
lancinating to the extent of shredding my soul
I wonder whether I will ever know that love
I have
always fled
that when I met at first I could not admit
and then
left me wounded
I
deserve everything
every pain, every tear, the lack of joy
I deserve it all
every day spent regretting
every evening chasing away the hours still to go
before dawn
I deserve every fear, every nightmare
because
I had been blessed with all and all I have wasted
because I blew and put out the passion stomping on
its cinders
because I should have fought to assert myself and I
gave in to kindness and warmth of heart.
I
just ask you, my Lord,
should I ever live again, should a new chance be
given to me,
let me live it all, make me feel it all, on my skin
through my bones
No more I want to lie with the logic of words
No more I want to run after emotions in speeches
I want my life to be simple, I want a life embraced
to life
I want to know the love that nurtures not the
awareness that kills.
Ho pianto
seduta sulle mie ginocchia
pensandoti.
Ho pianto
sfiorando i polsi
con la lama.
La paura di perderti
stesa su me stessa
allungata sul pavimento
le braccia a sostenere
le lacrime.
I cried
on my knees
thinking of you.
I cried
grazing my wrists
with the blade.
The fear of losing you
lying on myself
stretched out on the floor
my arms to bear
my tears.
Cattiveria inutile
I tuoi occhi tradiscono
ciò che le tue parole non dicono,
la smorfia sul tuo viso,
le labbra contratte.
Guardo davanti a me per evitare le lacrime,
per nascondere l’umiliazione
dell’inganno, il tuo,
a me e a te stesso.
La luce e l’ombra,
il tuo profilo perfetto
sembra quello di un clown.
Piangerai anche tu, mi chiedo,
quando tolto il trucco
ti specchierai solo con te stesso ?
Pointless Malice
Your
eyes betray
what your words do not say
the grimace on your face,
your pursed lips.
I
look in front of me not to cry,
to hide the humiliation
for the deceit, yours,
towards me and yourself as well.
The
light and the shadow,
your perfect profile
looks like that of a clown.
Will
you too cry, I wonder,
once, removed your make-up,
you look at yourself in the mirror, alone with
yourself ?
Just me only / Io soltanto
Lonely my going
it has always been so
I shun the crowd
and love the night
back from the woods
I could just live
with
a path under my boots
the light sliding along the leaves and
bouncing on the rocks
bouncing on the rocks
the scent of the musk
Nothing I love
more than the music
in the time that’s my own only
in the time that’s my own only
Nothing I love
more than memories
that drip down along my cheeks
and the wind dries
that drip down along my cheeks
and the wind dries
Solitario
il mio andare
lo è
da sempre
Sdegno la folla e
amo la notte
di
ritorno dal bosco
Potrei vivere con
un
sentiero sotto i miei passi
